Day Thirty-Seven (11/10)

Good morning students,

I hope you enjoyed your workday yesterday.  Please note that you need to complete your homework outside of class and that coming to class with it not finished will result in a poor grade in the future.  Please also keep up with your reading.

Today we will be moving forward on our discussion of relationships in popular culture and then we can turn our eyes to CI tomorrow to apply our knowledge.  For today's journal I want you to reflect on these four different questions (they should look familiar):

"Dawson's Creek" - Joey and Jack
    1.) Describe the relationship (what you see, hear, feel, etc.)
    2.) What characteristics make this an example of a good relationship?
    3.) What characteristics make this an example of a bad/poor relationship?
    4.) What can you learn from this relationship?

In the next section of CI reading for Friday Christopher talks about love.  What is love anyway?  Many people have tried to define this very unique feeling.  Take a stab at it with these four questions:

Day Twenty-Eight (10/25)

Good morning English 9 Students,

I hope that your MEA Break was restful and relaxing and that everything went well during the five days that I was gone.  I had a lot of fun getting married and going on my honeymoon, check out the picture on the right, but now it's back to business as usual.

For pretty much the rest of the year we will be doing daily journal entries at the beginning of every class period.  Your role is to come in, get seated, open your MacBook, get onto this blog and look for the question of the day.  It will be labeled with the day number we are on and the date.  Then open up your Pages document where you will be saving all these entries, title today's post, and start writing your response. 

Normally you will not have this many questions or this much time to reflect, but today I really want you to spend some quality time getting back into it after your long break, thinking, and reflecting.

Questions to answer today:
1.) Please describe the events for me of last Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in class and on your field trip
2.) Please explain to me eight things that you learned over these last five school days.
